ROLAND WASTE DISPOSAL GROUND is operated as a Transfer Station. Located on Arctic Road (Road 25 N), 1 mile East of Roland and ¼ mile south. A ramp area has been constructed to facilitate loading into the collection bins. We continue to maintain collection areas for metal, tires, chemical containers, and clean-burn materials (wood/paper products). There is a $5 tipping fee at the gate for large appliances: fridges, stoves, freezers, dryers, washing machines, dishwashers.

Blue Box

Reduce Reuse Recycle - Put it in the Box

Each Village residence has a BLUE BOX. Each RURAL residence may pick up their Blue Box at the Municipal Office. Replacement or additional Blue Boxes are available at a cost of $10.00 each.

Curbside Garbage Pickup is Wednesdays.

  • Set out no later than 8:00 a.m.
  • All garbage must be contained in securely closed, sturdy plastic bags.
  • Do not overfill, if you can’t carry it to the curb, don’t expect the garbage handler to pick it up.
  • Improperly packaged garbage and overweight bags will be left at the curb and must be removed within 12 hours.

These items will not be picked up with regular household garbage.
All bags, boxes, and containers are to be emptied and removed from the Site
NO household garbage, trees or branches.

E-Waste Collection Depot

There is now an E-Waste bin located in the Recycle Depot
